4-20 mAmp Sensor

The 4-20 mAmp signal converter serves as a vital link for integrating the sensorProbe with a 4-20 mAmp transmitter. Leveraging 4-20 mAmp technology, this converter facilitates the transmission of analog signals across extensive distances, addressing challenges posed by electrical interference. Widely embraced in the process control industry, this solution proves invaluable for collecting analog values from diverse remote sensors.

In comparison to voltage signals, current signals demonstrate heightened resistance to noise. Through a conversion process, a voltage signal can be transformed into a current signal, transmitted over long distances, and then reconverted to voltage before being read by the sensorProbe.

Within the industry, 4-20 mAmp transmitters are commonplace, often paired with high-quality sensors. The integration of these sensors into the sensorProbe is streamlined by the 4-20 mAmp converter, enhancing their utility with features such as graphing, a web interface, email functionality, as well as configurable thresholds and limits.
